Condition Survey / Visual Close-Up Inspection

This procedure is usually performed prior to non destructive testing to view and evaluate the actual interior.

Visual inspection also becomes important in situations where the build-up of iron oxide, scale and/or foreign deposits are suspected of causing a loss of flow, and where nondestructive pipe thickness testing cannot provide the necessary diagnostic information.

Rope Access / Raft Methods

The rope access method is a very cost efficient way of accessing any type of high rise structure or any type of awkward space. Proper training and safety guidelines are essential to succesfully carry out a Rope Access job.

Rafting operations are commonly used in cargo tanks of crude oil tankers where the tank is filled with water and a dinghy is utilised to move around.

Close Curcuit TV (CCTV)

This method of inspection allows the physical conditions of a tank, for example, to be viewed and evaluated by others outside the tight spaced tank. The feed can be recorded for reference purposes or distribution.
